Trustner healthcare app in the news

The first Trustner healthcare app is in the news. Deutschlandradio, a national radio station, reported how Dr. Joachim Riethmüller, a renowned cystic firbrosis specialist from the Children´s Hospital at the University Clinic of Tübingen, uses Trustner for patient communition.

In the report, Dr. Riethmüller has an electronic exchange with the mother of a cf patient. There is a new skin rash. A photo is sent to Dr. Riehtmüller who has a look at it. He gives an explanation and advice to the mother. The session is over and the family of the patient saves itself a drive to the hospital, 150 km away.

The "virtual consulting room" app from Trustner uses strong end-to-end encryption and fulfills the privacy requirements in the German healthcare sector. The app is marketed by careon GmbH, a Trustner partner.



Trustner Beta is online

Today the 0.8.1 version of Trustner has been launched for testing. At this point Trustner is available for Windows (7.0 and higher) and OSX (Yosemite and higher).

This version is for testing only. The data base will be replaced before the official launch of Trustner 1.0.

Expert praises Trustner´s crypto concept

The crypto concept to be used by the Trustner communication service has been positively evaluated by Prof. Alexander May from the Department of Cryptology and IT-Security at the Ruhr Universität Bochum. Prof. May is a renowned specialist in the field and an advisor to large companies and state authorities.

Trustner´s mission is to combine strong encryption with state-of-the-art usability. It is inspired by Phil Zimmermann´s Pretty Good Privacy project that was launched 25 years ago.

Based on Prof. May´s appraisal of the concept the Trustner team will now take the next step and begin implementation of a new communication service.
